The Gran Canaria bathroom problem, and how we fix it
Most bathrooms we are called to share the same island symptoms: chalky limescale from the hard water, black mould along the grout, and a bulky bath eating the room.
We fix the causes. Every renovation includes full tanking so water cannot track behind the tiles, a correctly sized extractor, and zone-rated electrics (IP44/IP65).
Then come the finishes, built by our own trades at a fixed price. Free visit and quote within 7 days.

Managing your bathroom renovation from the UK
A bathroom is the easiest room to renovate remotely, and many of our British and Irish clients never see the site.
You send photos to start, we confirm a fixed price after a video survey, and you choose tiles, screen and taps over WhatsApp with couriered samples. Keys come from a neighbour, agent or managing agent.
During the two to three weeks on site you get a weekly photo report in English, then a video handover and a watertightness test.

Bathroom costs: Gran Canaria vs the UK
A full bathroom renovation in the UK commonly costs £12,000–25,000 once labour, tiling and fittings are added. On Gran Canaria a complete bathroom renovation is €1,800–3,800, with a bespoke premium bathroom starting from €8,000.
The saving comes from labour costs, not from cutting corners: we tank properly, install zone-rated electrics and specify recognised brands such as Roca, Grohe, Hansgrohe and Ideal Standard. Many owners use the difference to add underfloor heating, a backlit mirror or a bigger walk-in shower.
As always, the prices shown exclude IGIC, the Canary Islands tax (general 7%, with a reduced 0% or 3% possible on qualifying primary-residence works). We show it separately in your quote so you can compare like for like with a home-country price.

Your questions answered
Clear answers before work starts. If your question is not here, message us and we will reply within 24 hours.
A basic update starts from €1,200, a complete bathroom renovation runs €1,800–3,800, and a bespoke premium bathroom starts from €8,000. A bath-to-shower conversion starts from €1,500. The quote is fixed, itemised and excludes IGIC.
Yes, this is one of our most popular jobs, from €1,500. We remove the tub, re-tank the floor and walls, fit a flush low-profile tray and a made-to-measure screen, and re-route the plumbing and drainage as needed, usually within a few days.
A complete bathroom is usually ready in 2–3 weeks, including strip-out, re-plumb, tanking, tiling and fitting. We give a signed schedule before starting.
Yes. We fit level-access showers, grab rails, fold-down seats, non-slip flooring, comfort-height WCs and lever taps, designed discreetly so the bathroom still looks good rather than clinical.
Send us photos of the bathroom, rough measurements and the property location. We can give a guide quote from that, then confirm the binding fixed price after a video-call survey or a visit while you are on the island.
We tackle the causes, not just the symptoms: full tanking to stop water tracking behind tiles, a properly sized extractor fan to clear humidity, sealed wall-hung fixtures with fewer grout lines, and fittings that cope with the island's hard water.
Yes. With a flush shower, wall-hung fixtures, large-format tiles, mirrors and good lighting we create a greater sense of space even in 3–4 m2 bathrooms.
