We do not run a permanent team or office in Lanzarote, we are a Gran Canaria firm that travels across for projects, and we think it is fairer to say so plainly. In practice that shapes how we work. After an initial assessment, in person or by video, we prepare a detailed fixed quote and then programme the build in concentrated blocks, so our trades stay on the island continuously rather than making repeated short trips. Materials, joinery and appliances are ordered ahead and shipped over by ferry, with slack in the timeline for the crossing, so the site is not left waiting on a delivery. This approach suits full renovations of homes and holiday apartments, kitchens, bathrooms and whole units, far better than one-off small repairs, where the travel and freight rarely make sense. Lanzarote's distinctive white-and-green building rules matter here, so we work to the criteria of the island authority and each town council. No. We are based in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, and travel to Lanzarote for projects. We are honest about that because it affects planning: we work in concentrated blocks and ship materials over by ferry, which suits full renovations rather than small call-outs.
Travel and freight are built transparently into the fixed quote. For a full renovation of a home or holiday apartment they are a modest share of the total; for very small jobs they rarely add up, so we will tell you honestly if it is not worth it.
The Canary Islands use IGIC instead of VAT. The general rate is 7%, with reduced rates (0% or 3%) for the renovation of a main home in certain cases. We break it down in the quote.
