Diagnosing the damp before we fix it
So many damp repairs fail because someone treated the symptom, a stain or bubbling paint, without identifying the cause. We always diagnose first, free of charge.
There are three culprits: filtration through a terrace or crack, rising damp climbing from the ground, and condensation from poor ventilation, each needing a different fix. Much of the island's 1965-1985 housing has no damp-proofing at all.

Terrace and roof waterproofing starts from around €35/m², and treatment of rising (capillary) damp from about €90 per linear metre. Liquid-membrane or bituminous systems are priced by the system chosen, and the filtration diagnosis is free. After the diagnosis we provide a binding, itemised quote, excluding IGIC.

Each needs a different fix, which is why we diagnose first. Treating the stain without identifying the type is why so many damp jobs fail.
First we find the source (filtration, rising damp or condensation), then apply the right solution, tanking, a chemical damp-proof course or improved ventilation. Treating only the stain without solving the cause doesn't work and it always comes back.
Not always. Some systems are applied over the existing paving; in other cases it's better to lift, tank and re-lay. We assess this on the diagnosis and tell you honestly which approach your terrace needs.
